What is FDIC Insurance? Are my accounts FDIC-Insured?

Yes, your deposits on Homebase’s Pay Any Day Debit Card are FDIC-insured up to the
FDIC limit ($250,000) by our partner bank, Piermont Bank, Member FDIC. FDIC insurance
is per depositor, per insured bank, for each account ownership category. For more detail,
see https://www.fdic.gov/resources/deposit-insurance/.

Homebase is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services are provided
by Piermont Bank, Member FDIC.

Does it cost any money to use Pay Any Day?

No — sign-up is completely free and there are no hidden fees. That means no instant delivery fees, monthly account or interest charges, transaction charges or minimum account balances.

The only fee you’ll see will be for international, non-USD transactions. This is charged by Visa (not us!) and it’s an International Service Assessment fee of 1% which is added to your transaction amount. Additional information is available here.

How does Pay Any Day work? Do I have to repay the money back?

Yes. You are able to take an advance daily or after each clock out and would agree to repay back the amount on your upcoming payday.

To get access to Pay Any Day, you simply need to switch your direct deposit to Homebase Card. Once you have successfully clocked out and have enough accrued earnings, you can request a Pay Any Day. Homebase will advance the cash to your bank account. On your next payday, the cash will be then debited (returned) back from your bank account once you get paid.

If we are unable to withdraw all of the funds on your payday, we will continue to try to initiate a repayment. If don’t have the full amount in your bank account on payday, we may collect partial repayments (minimum of $25).

During this process, we attempt to check your bank account balance before we withdraw back the funds to try to avoid situations that would result in an overdraft on your account. We will never pull more than is owed. Even with our best efforts, we cannot guarantee that you will not be charged overdraft fees due to a number of factors that may be outside of our control.

Failure to pay Homebase back could result in you being banned from Pay Any Day. Unlike payday loans, there are no late fees or interest.

How is Pay Any Day different from credit cards or a loan?

We give you instant access to wages you’ve already earned — with no fees or interest charges. Unlike credit cards or payday loans which often come with high-interest fees and hidden costs, you are not borrowing any money. Your earnings can be loaded onto your Homebase Pay Any Day Visa Debit as soon as you clock out and the amount owing is automatically debited on payday.

Where does Homebase send the money for Pay Any Day?

We send the money right to your Homebase Pay Any Day deposit account and Visa Debit card. You get instant access to the funds  and can use it for everyday purchases, anywhere Visa Debit is accepted (online or in-store!)

I'm getting an error accessing Pay Any Day. What are the eligibility requirements?

What is the maximum amount I can take for Pay Any Day?

You’ll get access to up to 100% of your earned wages, up to a maximum of $4,000 per pay period, as long as you are currently employed by a Homebase company that uses Homebase Payroll and have your direct deposit set up with Homebase Card. The minimum advance is $25.

What happens if my company leaves Homebase Payroll or I’m no longer being paid through Homebase Payroll?

If you continue to be employed at a Homebase company and have successfully enrolled for Pay Any Day previously, you will continue to have access to Pay Any Day at a reduced limit. What happens if my employer or I leave Homebase entirely after setting up Pay Any Day?

Using Pay Any Day

How often can I use Pay Any Day?

As often as you like! With Pay Any Day, you have the option to take as much advanced pay as you need. At any given time, you would be able to access your full remaining accrual balance at any time by manually selecting how much of the balance you want to access and confirming that you wish to take an advance of this amount.

I just requested a Pay Any Day, what happens now?

Nice! Once completed, you’ll receive a notification in your Homebase app that lets you know how much was advanced and when you’ll need to pay it back.

From the Money tab in your Homebase app, you’ll get one view of all upcoming repayments under Upcoming Repayments. Select any one to view additional details. On your repayment date, you don’t need to do anything — Homebase will automatically debit your card for the total amount of the advance back.
If you have any questions about your advance, please contact our support team at money@joinhomebase.com and we would be more than happy to help.

How does the repayment work? How do I pay Homebase back?

Homebase will attempt to collect the money on the next paycheck. After receiving your paycheck, we will automatically debit the Homebase Card connected to your Pay Any Day account. We are currently not allowing manual repayments to be made.

If we are unable to withdraw all of the funds on your payday, we will continue to try to initiate a repayment. If don’t have the full amount in your bank account on payday, we may collect partial repayments (minimum of $25). We never pull more than is owed or overdraft your bank account.

I’m unable to pay back on time. What happens now?

You won’t be able to access Pay Any Day again until you’ve repaid the amount owing. We automatically deduct the advance owing from your account on payday. There are no interest or late fees and no credit score impact, however, you will not be able to access another Pay Any Day advance until the amount owed is paid back.

If we are unable to withdraw all of the funds on your payday, we will continue to try to initiate a repayment. If don’t have the full amount in your bank account on payday, we may collect partial repayments (minimum of $25).

We will also make sure that we don’t initiate a repayment if the repayment would cause the employee’s balance to drop below $50 in their account. Homebase will continue to monitor your account and look for any incoming income transactions. If income is identified, up to the total remaining owed amount will be pulled back by Homebase. The best way to pay us back is to simply put money in the account and we will debit it automatically.

I want to make a manual repayment. How do I do that?

Right now, there’s no option for manual payments since we automatically debit the amount owing on your next payday.

How do I change the debit card that I want to use for Pay Any Day?

Advances can only be added to your Homebase Pay Any Day Visa Debit. Funds are available instantly and you can use your card to make purchases anywhere Visa Debit is accepted, online and in-store.

How do I update my information for Pay Any Day?

We update all of your information based on your Homebase account so you don’t need to add anything. If you need to make a change to your personal information, follow the step-by-step guide here

I want to update my payroll period. How do I do that?

Your Pay Any Day accrual is calculated based on your net wage rate and total hours worked. Troubleshooting Pay Any Day

Why can’t I connect my bank account? I’m having issues linking my account.

We’re sorry to hear that. Please refer to our help article for ways to troubleshoot this issue.

If you were able to locate your bank: We recommend waiting for an hour or two and then trying again. Sometimes Plaid will experience issues due to things like bank server reliability or online banking system upgrades or changes which can prevent your request from going through.

If you were not able to locate your bank and went through the micro-deposit process: It can take a full business day for the two deposits to arrive in your account. This will not include weekends (so requests on Friday or the weekend are expected to arrive on Monday). Please wait for a full business day to see if the deposits have arrived.

If you followed the steps above and are still having issues linking your bank account, please contact money@joinhomebase.com and we can investigate for you.

What do I do when I receive a “something went wrong” message in the app?

We are sorry that we were unable to complete your request at this time. This could be due to a technical issue that is preventing your request from being sent. Please try again in a few hours and if you continue to experience issues, you can contact our support team at money@joinhomebase.com and we would be more than happy to help you.

Homebase was unable to send a Pay Any Day request to my debit card. What should I do next?

We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with sending a Pay Any Day request to your Homebase Card. We recommend trying again in 24 hours to see if that helps fix your issue. If you continue to experience issues after a day, please contact support at money@joinhomebase.com and we are happy to investigate further.

My Pay Any Day repayment failed. What happens now?

If your repayment has failed, we will attempt to retry the repayment at a future time, typically within 24 hours. If you continue to see failed repayments or experience challenges, please reach out to our support team at money@joinhomebase.com

Why is my payback date before my payday?

Payback to Homebase is made on the payday that is set by your payroll system. If you believe that this information is incorrect, please reach out to your manager for assistance.

Do you take partial repayments? Why do I have two repayments less than the full advance that I took?

Yes, we will take a partial repayment on your total amount owed if the balance on your account on or after the due date is not sufficient to cover the full amount of the advance. You will automatically pay back as much as possible, up to a point where we leave at least $50 remaining in the account.

Homebase will continue to monitor your account and look for any incoming income transactions. If income is identified, up to the total remaining owed amount will be pulled back by Homebase. We never pull more than is owed or overdraft your bank account.

If you have any questions about your repayments, please contact money@joinhomebase.com, and someone from our team would be happy to assist with your question.
