In this article, we will cover the information shown on your time cards.

Time Card Header
  • Displays the date, employee name, role, and location of the time card.

  • "Call" displays the employee's contact phone number

  • "Message" opens the Messenger on the right side of the browser.

Hours Worked
  • This area will display the Total Break Time and the clock-in/clock-out times for that category.

  • The setting "Convert excess time from a paid break to an unpaid break" does not impact this timecard section, only the timesheets.

Total Break
  • This area will display the breaks the employee took during their shift.

  • Click the drop-down arrows to display the exact clock-in/clock-out times.
  • If the employee missed breaks during this time, Homebase will highlight the errors & give you the option to Add or Dismiss

Notes (☆ Essentials +)

  • Manager Notes: Here, manager-facing notes can be added. Employees will not see these notes.

Photo & GPS Validation
  • This feature is available on the ☆ Essentials Plan & up.
  • When clocking in on the mobile app or tablet time clock, you can see the Shift Pic and the GPS snapshot of where the employee clocked in.

  • If the employee is clocking in/out via Mobile Time Clock - the GPS snapshot will pinpoint exactly where the employee clocked in/out for their shift & breaks. 
  • If the employee is clocking out via Tablet Time Clock - this area will show a photo that was taken of the employee as then clocked in/out for their shifts & breaks. In order for this photo to be taken, the tablet must have a front-facing camera.

  • If Time Clock rounding is enabled, this information will be displayed here.

Cash & Credit Tips
  • If Cash & Credit Tip columns are enabled, the option to add tips to timecards will appear.

  • If you are connected to a POS (Point of Sale) Integration, your tips will Import from your POS.
