Password Resets
Follow the steps below to reset your password via web or log in on mobile app:
Web
1. Head to the Homebase sign-in page.
2. Click Forgot password.
3. Confirm your email address & click send sign-in link.
4. Check your email. (The subject link is Homebase Forgot Password.)
5. Click the link in the email to automatically sign in to Homebase.
6. Follow the prompts to update your password
Mobile App
Please note: you are not able to reset your password via the mobile app. To reset your password via web browser, please follow the steps above.
1. Open the Homebase mobile app.
2. Tap Forgot password.
3. Confirm your email address & click send sign-in link.
4. If your email is set up through your phone, click the email link to open your email app. If not, visit your email.
5. Tap the link in the email to automatically sign in to Homebase.
Password Updates
If you are already signed in to your Homebase account and wish to update your password follow the steps below:
1. Click your profile icon in the upper right corner, then click My Settings.
2. Click the blue pencil icon next to Profile Info or Change Password under Language Preferences
3. Follow the prompts to change your password
4. Click Save Changes in the top right to save your changes.
Add an extra layer of security to your account by enabling 2-step verification.
2-step verification reduces the chances of having your account accessed by someone else by requiring an email address, password, and a verification code sent to your mobile phone via SMS text message each time you sign in to Homebase.
Please Note: This feature can be used in any individual team member profile, regardless of Access Level.
Homebase strongly recommends enabling 2-step verification on your account if you run payroll through Homebase.
To enable 2-step verification:
1. Sign in to your Homebase account on a web browser.
2. Navigate to the Security Settings page:

- Click your profile icon in the top right.
- Select My Settings
- Select Security in the bottom left of the Settings Menu
3. Turn on the toggle to Enable 2-Step Verification
4. Complete the workflow and enter the mobile number you'll receive text messages.
5. Once confirmed, 2-step verification will be enabled for your account
To change the mobile phone number used to receive your verification codes, click the pencil icon in My Settings and enter the new number next to Mobile Phone.
