Group Messaging

Homebase offers a number of groups pre-created for your business to help you communicate quickly and easily:

Entire Team Group

Messaging

  • Every team member at a location will be included in the Entire Team group chat. As employees join or leave your team, they’ll automatically be added or removed as participants.
All Managers Group

Messaging

  • Like the Entire Team chat, however, this group consists only of managers, general managers, and owners of a location.
Group by Role
Messaging
  • When roles are created in Homebase, the messaging feature will automatically create groups by role. This makes it easy for you to message all team members with the same role, leaving everyone else out of unnecessary information.
Custom Group
Messaging
  • In addition to the groups above, team members can create a 1:1 chat or group chats with a fixed number of participants. There is no limit to the number of team members who can be part of the conversation.

Using Read Receipts

Read receipts are an excellent confirmation so you can know which teammates have read your message.

Messaging

  • You can view the number of recipients who have read your messages by viewing the count displayed next to the message bubble.
  • Tap directly on the read count number to see who has and hasn’t seen the message.

Deleting Messages

Messaging

  1. Locate the message you’d like to delete
  2. Click the X next to the message to delete

Please Note: You cannot delete another participant's messages.
