Enabling Autopayroll

Upgrading Your Payroll Plan

To access Autopayroll, you need to upgrade your payroll plan. Contact Homebase at (415) 951-3835 to discuss the available plans and choose the one that best suits your needs.

Activating Autopayroll

If you already have access to Autopayroll, follow these steps to enable it:

  1. Log in to your Homebase account.
  2. Navigate to the Settings page
  3. Access the Autopayroll settings page.
  4. Click on "Turn On" to activate Autopayroll.

Using Autopayroll

Automatic Submission Process

Once Autopayroll is enabled, your regular payrolls will be automatically submitted on the submission day at 1PM EST, 6 hours before the deadline. Remember that you are still responsible for reviewing timecards before the automatic submission to ensure accuracy.

Bank Account and Pay Schedule

Autopayroll will not impact your pay schedule or the bank account you use for payroll funding

Adding Additional Earnings Before Automatic Submission

If you need to add additional earnings before the automatic submission (that happens at 1PM EST) follow these steps:

  1. Open your payroll as usual.
  2. Add the necessary earnings.
  3. Save and exit without submitting.

The changes made before the automatic submission will be included in the payroll.

Confirmation Email

After the automatic submission at 1PM EST, you will receive an email confirming the details of your payroll, including the amounts debited from your account and paid to your team members.

Making Changes After Automatic Submission

If you need to make changes after the automatic submission, follow these guidelines:

  1. Reopen the payroll before the deadline.
  2. Make the necessary adjustments.
  3. Note that the current payroll will no longer be automatically submitted; you must submit it manually until the regular deadline (7PM EST).

Handling Non-Sufficient Funds

If you have a payroll with unresolved non-sufficient funds and your account is blocked for new payrolls, any future automatic submissions will be put on hold. Once you resolve the issue, future payrolls will resume automatic processing.

Disabling Autopayroll

If you wish to turn off Autopayroll:

  1. Access the Autopayroll settings page.
  2. Click on "Turn Off."
  3. Homebase will no longer submit payrolls automatically, and you will be responsible for timely submissions.

Autopayroll is designed to simplify your payroll process, giving you more time to focus on what matters most—your business. Enjoy the convenience and accuracy of zero-click payroll with Homebase.
