Homebase allows you to take control of your schedule coverage.
Limit time off requests per day
- Sign in to your Homebase account.
- Select Settings in the top navigation bar.
- Select Time Off & PTO in the left navigation.
- Check the box that reads "Limit time off requests to no more than X people per day."
- You can set the max number of employees allowed to take a day off.
- Save Changes in the top right corner.
Limit time off requests to several days in advance
- Sign in to your Homebase account.
- Select Settings in the top navigation bar.
- Select Time Off & PTO in the left navigation.
- Check the box that reads "Do not allow time off requests less than X days in advance."
- You can set the number of days in advance.
- Save Changes in the top right corner.
Blackout dates - Restrict employees from requesting specific days off
- Sign in to your Homebase account.
- Select Schedule in the top navigation bar.
- Select Tools in the top right corner.
- Select Add.
- Select A Time off Blackout.
- In the pop-up, select the date and enter 0 into the box to restrict all employees from requesting the day off.
- Select Add Time-Off Blackout to Schedule.
- If employees try to request time off during a blackout period and the employee limit has already been reached, we'll let them know and they will be unable to send a request.
