Why can’t Homebase verify my debit card?

In order to request a Cash Out, the debit card on file must be active and connected to the bank account that you signed up with. Homebase verifies that the debit card is associated with your bank account by sending a $0.02 transaction to the debit card.

If we are unable to send you the micro transaction or if the micro transaction does not show up in your bank account within 24 hours, we cannot verify your debit card. Also, if your card is cancelled or expired, your debit card will become unverified. 


Actions that you can take to make sure that your debit card gets verified:

  • Add the debit card that helps you access funds and make transactions in the bank account linked to Homebase Cash Out
  • Ensure that your name is listed on the bank account linked to Homebase Cash Out
  • Ensure that the card is active and up to date
  • Ensure that your card is able to receive transactions
