Alerts and Notifications
You can customize which email, text, and push notifications you receive from Homebase.
Web:
- Sign in to your account.
- Select the Settings tab in the left navigation bar.
- Select Notifications from the navigation bar on the left.
- Check and uncheck the notifications you would like to receive.
- Click Save Changes in the upper right corner of the page.
Mobile:
- Open your Homebase Employee Scheduling app.
- Tap More on the lower right side of the navigation bar.
- Select Settings.
- Click Your Account in the navigation bar on the left.
- Select Notifications.
- Select a category to customize your email, text, and push notifications.
- Any adjustments will save and sync automatically.
Change the owner of your account
If you are the current owner of the company and can login to Homebase, navigate to the Settings page and scroll down to the Company Info section:
- Click on the pencil icon next to the account owner's name to start the ownership transfer process
- The owner will receive a verification email at the email address on file.
- Click on the link in the email to verify that you are the account owner. The link expires after 24 hours.
- The link will redirect you back to Homebase to designate an employee or manager as the new owner. You can choose any active employee as the new owner.
- Once the ownership has changed, the previous owner will become a Manager. Both the old and new owners will receive an email confirming the change.
If you are not the current owner of the company and or cannot login to Homebase as the owner, you can still start the ownership process by navigating to Settings, scrolling down to the Company Info section, and clicking on the pencil icon.
- As a non-owner, clicking on the pencil icon will send an email to your email address on file.
- The email will ask you to provide additional documents to verify that you are the new owner of the company.
- Reply to the email with the additional documents to start the ownership transfer process.
- A Homebase employee will review your documents and process your request in a few days.
Change your pricing plan on the web
You can change your Homebase pricing plan from your web dashboard.
- Sign in to your account.
- Click on your name in the upper right corner.
- Select Manage Plan.
- Choose the plan that is right for you.
- Click Start Now.
Change your language preference
We currently offer Homebase in English, Spanish, and French. When your language preference is set, it will carry across every platform.
On the web:
- Sign in to your account.
- Select your icon in the top right corner.
- Select My Settings.
- Select Add next to Language Preference.
- Save Changes in the top right corner.
- This will change your date settings as well.
- To change the language preference again, select the blue pencil icon next to Profile Info.
- Use the drop-down next to language preference.
- Save Changes in the top right corner.
The language on your Homebase mobile app will be set to English, Spanish, or French based on your phone's settings. Instructions on how to set your language preference on any iOS device. For instructions on how to set language preference on your Android phone, consult your specific device's online manual.
Compatible devices
Homebase Employee and Time Clock apps support a wide variety of device types. The latest version and the versions of operating systems required are below. If certain features are not available or inaccessible on your phone or tablet please review the table below.
***Homebase cannot be downloaded or used on Fire tablets because Fire tablets do not support the Google Play store or the App store. Thank you for your understanding.
Android:
Our employee and manager app on Android supports over 9,545 different device types.
Our Time Clock on Android supports over 2,275 different device types.

We support iOS 9 and higher.
Countries supported on Homebase
The web version of Homebase (including our Web Time Clock) is available anywhere with an internet connection, although the complete suite of our services (our mobile apps on Android and iOS and Time Clock for Android and iPad) are only available in the US, the United Kingdom, and Canada at this time.
At this time, we offer alerts and notifications via SMS for our customers in the United States and Canada.
Edit location information
- Sign in to your Homebase account.
- Select Settings in the top navigation bar.
- Select Basic Info in the left navigation.
- Select the blue pencil icon next to Location Details. You can edit:
- Location Name
- Location Phone Number
- Address
- Time Zone
- Business type/category
- Website
- Save Changes in the top right corner.
To delete a location or a duplicate location, please contact our support team.
Security and privacy
We take the security of our customer’s information seriously. We follow modern industry best practices to ensure that your data is safe.
- We use the best tools available from Amazon that help us protect our servers and stored data.
- We use industry standard frameworks in building web and mobile applications that have been thoroughly tested against security threats.
- We undergo periodic security audits to ensure we have not inadvertently introduced security vulnerabilities.
- We must prove to our partners (e.g. Intuit) that our applications are safe and secure in order to interact with their software.

Update your contact info
Web:
- Sign in to your account.
- Click on your name in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select My Settings.
- Select Your Account in the left navigation bar.
- You may update the following:
- Name
- Phone
- ZIP code
- Date of birth
- Language preference
- Emergency contact
- Click Save Changes.
Mobile:
- Open your Homebase mobile app.
- Tap More on the lower right side of the navigation bar.
- Select Profile.
- Toggle to Personal at the top of the screen.
- Tap the pencil icon to edit your personal info. You may update the following:
- Phone
- Date of birth
- Address
- Emergency contact
- Tap the check mark in the upper right corner to save your new info.
- To update your full name, toggle back to My Profile and tap the pencil icon next to your name.
