If you were using QuickBooks Online for payroll and started to use Homebase Payroll, it is very important to cancel your subscription and cancel the auto-file of payroll taxes.

You need to complete these two actions to avoid issues with your tax filings. Follow the steps below:

Cancelling subscription

  1. Log into your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to Settings and select Account and settingsScreenshot_2023-05-19_at_10.00.59_AM.png
  3. On the Payroll product, select Cancel subscription.
  4. Fill out the online cancellation form to complete this process.
    1. Ensure that you select the correct items and that Quickbooks will not handle any of your quarterly filings OR quarterly payments on or after your start date with Homebase Payroll. Any non-quarterly tax payments should still be made by Quickbooks.
Note: If you don't see the Billing & Subscription tab, you're not signed in as the Master Administrator or Company Administrator on the account, or you purchased your QuickBooks Online from your Accountant. In these cases you need to sign in with an admin account or contact your accountant to cancel your payroll subscription.
