If you operate a business and employ one or more employees, you must register as an employer with the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.

Registration Steps:

  1. Register for an account ID.
  2. Create a username and password in ATAP
    • Go back to Arkansas Taxpayer Access Point (ATAP), and select “sign up”
    • ATAP has an additional login security procedure requiring an authorization code in addition to a Password. ATAP users will be given the option to receive the initial authorization code by email or text message. For subsequent account logins, users will be given the option to either trust their browser so that the authorization code is not required or users may request a new authorization code for each login.

Update your Homebase account with your Arkansas Account ID. Your Arkansas Account ID is required for all Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration interactions to ensure your account is accurate.

Arkansas Division of Workforce Services (DWS)

Unemployment Insurance Tax (UI)
If you operate a business and employ one or more employees, for some portion of ten or more days during a calendar year.

Registration Steps:

  1. Register for Arkansas DWS Employer Account Number.
  2. Sign up to request a user ID and password.

Update your Homebase account with your Arkansas DWS employer Account Number. Your employer payroll tax account number is required for all ADWS interactions to ensure your account is accurate. For assistance, call the ADWS Information Desk at 501-682-2121 or email ADWS.Info@arkansas.gov.
